Affordable Housing for Youth Aging out of Foster Care: Watch Peter LiFari on CBS4 News.

At Unison we believe that everyone needs a home. Our new project at 7401 Broadway will have 12 apartments for young adults aging out of foster care. This partnership between Adams County and Unison will provide safe and quality affordable housing to those struggling after aging out of the system.

Peter LiFari- Executive Director, Unison Housing Partners spoke on CBS4 news about the great need for this under-served population. (Click here to watch). This youth population is at a great risk of being homeless and unemployed. They are left on their own to find housing immediately after being discharged from the system.

This project is a re-purposing of Child and Family Services Center building.  Not long ago foster children used to visit this building for their appointments and classes. Soon these newly developed apartments will become a home to these young adults along with a strong support system to help them become self-reliant.

The project, after completion, will house 400 people in 116 apartments.
