Adams County will get 116 New Affordable Apartments following Rezoning

Unison is excited to announce the development of 116-unit of multifamily affordable housing at 7401 Broadway in unincorporated Adams. The Board of County Commissioners has unanimously approved the rezoning, preliminary development plan and preliminary plan.

Shaping the future of a changing Adams County is only possible due to the synergistic strides of the county and Unison Housing Partners. This development plan was initiated with a decision made in 2017 to re-purpose a 40,000 sq. ft. site owned by the county that earlier housed the Child and Family Services Center. This is a first-ever donation of land by the county for affordable housing.

“Our partnership with Adams County is making a difference in the lives of so many people in the community”, said Peter LiFari- Executive Director of Unison Housing Partners.

This project announcement gives impetus to reduce the housing affordability gap and balancing the housing supply and demand, as identified in the 2017 Housing Needs Assessment by Adams County, by providing innovative affordable housing solutions.

The 116 households served will be between 30% and 70% Area Median Income (AMI), out of which 12 apartments are for youth transitioning out of foster care. The plan includes ample parking spaces, fitness center, computer station, conference room, lounge room, playground, Dog Park and greenspace among other modern amenities.
