Living Affordably in Adams County

Maiker provides access to affordable housing options for families and individuals in Adams County. A lottery-based application process determines which families will be selected from the Lottery and offered a voucher. Lottery submissions within the time frame allotted will be held in a lottery pool. Throughout the year, random drawings will be held as more vouchers become available. Low Income Public Housing

Public housing was established to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers Federal aid to local housing agencies (HAs) that manage the housing for low-income residents at rents they can afford. The Low Income Public Housing Program (LIPH) provides one (1) bedroom units to eligible participants that are Elderly (62 years of age or older) or disabled. Applications are available between the hours of 8:00 A.M. & 4:30 P.M. Monday thru Friday.
