80+ Hours Working at Minimum Wage to Afford Housing

As Representative Faith Winter said in a recent post on LinkedIn,”Coloradans should be able to afford to live where they work without working two or three jobs…”, which is why Rep. Winter has introduced legislation three times to establish an affordable housing trust fund to support development of affordable homes.

“The housing crisis is growing, especially for the lowest-income workers,” Diane Yentel, president of the National Low Income Housing Coalition, told The Washington Post. “The rents are far out of reach from what the average renter is earning.”
