Maiker Housing Partners is pleased to welcome two passionate community advocates to the Maiker Board of Commissioners. These individuals bring immense expertise on social justice, adult education and the Adams County community to the Maiker board.
Meet our new Board Members below!
Brian Mason
Brian was born in a military hospital in Germany where his parents were stationed in the United States Air Force. They returned to Colorado when he was two years old and later on graduated from Heritage High School. Brian attended Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio and earned a degree in political science. After college, he moved to Washington, D.C., where he served as an aide in the White House during the last three years of the Clinton Administration. Brian attended the University of Colorado Law School, where he earned his law degree and served as a campus leader.
Brian was elected as the 17th Judicial District Attorney in Colorado in 2020 and is serving his first term. His top priorities include public safety and equity within the criminal justice system. He advocates on behalf of the community’s most vulnerable, including victims of sexual assault, domestic violence and human trafficking.
Brian’s professional experience and vision for the community will serve as a great asset to the Maiker board. We are excited to see how Brian’s experience as a leader of the community will serve our community members here at Maiker.
Tricia Johnson
Dr. Tricia Johnson came to Colorado from Central Oklahoma in 2013 to receive her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at the University of Denver. She currently serves as Vice President of Westminster/North Metro at Front Range Community College. Her professional experience in education began in 2002. Since then, she has advanced education within the state through her roles at Emily Griffith Technical College, Colorado Department of Education, Community College of Aurora and more. In her professional roles, she digs into institutional commitments to equity, diversity, and inclusion and strives to enhance student voice and perspective.
Johnson has served as a board member for several nonprofit organizations including the Juvenile Assessment Center, Leadership Aurora, and the Oklahoma City Ad Club. Currently, Johnson is a Workforce Development Board Member with Adams County and a Community Leaders Council Member with the Rocky Mountain Partnership. Tricia’s commitment to her community will bring the Maiker board, mission and vision into the future.
