WESTMINSTER, CO (Feb. 10, 2021) – Socially conscious community developer Maiker Housing Partners is pleased to announce that Dawn Davis has joined the Board of Commissioners. Currently serving as the President of the North Metro Area for FirstBank, Davis brings years of experience as an active member of the community to the Maiker board.
“As a former foster child and a fierce champion for at-risk youth, Maiker’s mission of creating more access to affordable housing is really important to me,” said Davis. “I look forward to lending my skills to this community and working with the rest of the board to further our vision.”
Davis came to the North Metro area from the Western Slope of Colorado. She received her BA in Business Marketing and Management from Mesa State College before completing a graduate degree in Banking at the University of Colorado Boulder. Her professional experience began in FirstBank’s Management Trainee Program in 1995. Davis worked her way up to President, a position she has held since 2015. As President, Davis manages ten bank branches and has working knowledge of the Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program, Private Activity Bonds, Multifamily Acquisition underwriting and ongoing compliance regulations specific to the affordable housing industry.

Davis has been a long-time advocate in the community, working with numerous boards and foundations that have served individuals in affordable housing, affordable childcare and health care. Davis has a noted passion for children in the foster care system. She channels this passion into her personal and professional life, tirelessly advocating for improvement of the foster care system and housing youth aging out of foster care. Beyond this work, she serves on the Executive Committees for both CASA of Adams and Broomfield Counties and Adams County Regional Economic Partnership. Prior service includes board positions with Habitat for Humanity, North Metro Chamber of Commerce, Care Housing, America’s Kids Belong and Teaching Tree Learning Center.
In her spare time, Davis enjoys spending as much time as possible with her husband and two daughters.
