These free workshops and one-on-one counseling opportunities help homeowners who are facing financial difficulties make their mortgage payments. Our certified housing counselors work with homeowners to avoid foreclosure by developing a short-term intervention plan to negotiate a solution with the lender, along with a long-term plan to stabilize the client’s housing needs. Clients are encouraged to participate in a Foreclosure Prevention workshop before seeing a housing counselor in a one-on-one meeting.
