Due to COVID-19, and for the safety of community members and our staff, we have adapted our rental and utility assistance application process to accept applications via email and postal mail entirely. Please note the funding we have does have criteria we need to meet in order to approve for assistance.
We are grateful to not only be able to grant Federal TANF dollars for rent and utility assistance, but thanks to seed funding from the Adams County Foundation have established the Adams County Housing Stability Response and Recovery Fund administered by Maiker Housing Partners to offer additional rent and utility assistance, as well as mortgage payment assistance during this difficult time. Unlike TANF funding, this newly established fund is available for all qualifying individuals who live in Adams County.
For TANF funding, If you have received any rental assistance from us in the last 12-months at this time you are not eligible to apply until 12-months from the last month rent paid OR if you have received utility assistance from us since October 2019 you will not be eligible again until October 2020. It is highly recommended you work with your landlord and/or utility provider(s) to prevent eviction or shut-off or explore support through our other programs.
